We’re just back from our annual trip to Valencia, covering the final round of the MotoGP season.
It’s always a pleasure – a long week at the track catching up with colleagues and contacts, updating the sites, doing interviews, and catching as much of the action and atmosphere on camera as we can.
This year it has also been a time to bring people up to date on the excellent progress we’ve been making with the Vroom.GP Connected TV App – especially now that version 4, complete with exciting new features such as HD video and riders’ Twitter feeds, has begun rollout to the public. It’s great to be able to share this news with our friends in the paddock and to help raise the profile of Smart TV as a creative and exciting new platform.
This time our key interviews were with Scott Redding, Pol Espargaro, John McPhee (primarily for his own website which we manage for him) and the CEO & co-founder of Riders For Health, Andrea Coleman.
We will be working more closely with Riders For Health from here on, specifically giving them a permanent presence across our websites, and leveraging our TV App to deliver videos of their work and events to new audiences.
We also made a start on a new relationship with students in Spain, partnering to promote the UMH Moto Experience project at the Universidad Miguel Hernandez – a brilliant educational Moto3 project which we’ll be delighted to help spread the word about across our websites.
Thanks as ever to all our friends and partners, new and old, for a great time – especially our colleagues at Dorna and at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. It was not only an historic weekend, but also a hugely enjoyable one.
Bring on 2014!
Here for now is a selection of photos from the race weekend, Awards ceremony, and testing.
