Vroom.GP gets worldwide rollout on Philips Smart TV platform

Post 4 of 5

The Vroom.GP Connected TV app is now currently rolling out worldwide via the Philips backed ‘Smart TV’ platform (running on their NetTV technology system).
This now puts our groundbreaking MotoGP product in front of more viewers globally than ever before, supplementing the worldwide releases via LG and Netrange (whose manufactuer partners include Thomson, Sharp, Vestel, IKEA and Loewe).

Smart TV is currently available on the following brands and products:
• Philips LED TVs
• Philips Blu-ray and Home Theatre Systems
• Sharp Aquos Net+
• Bang & Olufsen

New partnerships with key Consumer Electronic Companies have been created due to Philips’ ambition to get a larger number of consumers using Smart TV. It is one of the easiest and effective ways of bringing interactive content to TV screens. Thanks to Smart TV, partners are able to onboard quickly to develop a varied and localised portfolio of Apps. Consumers can choose their favourite Apps and content from a large selection that reflects their country of origin and language due to the richness of the Smart TV Apps portfolio.

Vroom.GP is a Connected TV app, bringing you the best of Vroom Media’s niche MotoGP™ websites: vroom-magazine.com which focuses on Spanish riders in all World Championship categories: MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™, and motogpbrits.com – a website that follows the British riders across all classes. It also carries general news and results updates, taking in all riders and teams, as well as industry news.

The original Vroom Magazine Connected TV app on which Vroom.GP is based is also available globally via Samsung – and we’re hoping to roll out the worldwide release of Vroom.GP with them soon.
We’ll keep you posted on that – as well as some really exciting developments in our content plan for the next update of the app.
